How it works
Part 1 - Theory Training:
Venue staff register at class4hub.co.nz to complete the theory components online. Duration approx. 60 mins.
The comprehensive modules are delivered in a self-paced format, combining industry specific scenarios, videos, and quizzes. Trainees can pause and resume at their convenience, making it ideal for busy venue personnel.
Part 2 - Practical and Interactive Training via Zoom Classes
Following the theory training, trainees can register for our Zoom classes held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2pm. These mandatory interactive Q&A sessions take around 30 minutes and help venue staff learn how to:
-
Build rapport with players
-
Initiate conversations with players who may be experiencing harm
-
Handle interactions with distressed or agitated players
-
Support problem gamblers through the exclusion process
The Zoom sessions are optional, as societies may wish to deliver this component themselves. Either way, Class4Hub is perpetually available for theory and practical training for a fixed cost, providing flexibility and efficient time management.
See our practical and interactive training here.
Completing Part 1 and Part 2 meets 2023 training regulations.
